Spring-loaded, head-splitting action with McFarlane's new Walking Dead Zombies

GeekTyrant managed to get some great pictures of some new Walking Dead packaging yesterday, revealing extra-juicy details. I have to say, McFarlane outdid themselves with lots of innovative twists that set these far above the typical action figure.

The package shown is for the 2-pack Zombie Roamer & Zombie Lurker. There are going to be a must-have!

• Zombie Roamer: "Push Button to see head split and brains splatter up" - yes, it does that! Note that the lever to reset the head is a knife in the walker's back. Genius!


• Zombie Lurker: "Upper body detaches to reveal guts / Turns into a zombie crawler" Yes, I do believe that looks like a bit of spine and guts trail for the crawler!


• Both zombies have detachable parts - like a hand that can be removed to show exposed bone and gore

McFarlane Toys announces Halo Reach Series 6 lineup

Exciting news over at Spawn.com about new Halo Reach figures coming in 2012! We just saw the release of the Anniversary Edition release a couple of weeks ago, and I'm already excited to hear about what's coming next for this line!

Ever wonder how McFarlane Toys makes a Halo action figure? They're so detailed, it's hard to imagine how much work it takes to get them on the shelves. Even so, it looks like a great place to work! Prototype days must be a blast!

Though I'm a fan of Master Chief, myself, I have to point out that this grunt - usually my least favorite figure - is awesome.



BUT with that being said...nothing beats this set of 3 Master Chiefs -Master Chief Evolution [Halo, Halo 2 & Halo 3]. If there's only one item to get from the 10th Anniversary Collection, this is it:

Troy Polamalu's Hair in Plastic - Have you been using my shampoo?

So the newest Troy Polamalu action figures just arrived from McFarlane toys (one of the NFL Elite Series 2 figures), and they're excellent as always. But there's something amiss here...

because there's just no way to express the amazing, incredible, gorgeous awesomeness of this man's locks in hard plastic! It can't be done!

The hair is insured for a million bucks, so I think it's time to break out of the plastic mold for a change. McFarlane Toys, give us the real deal! Troy Polamalu with rooted hair please! Can anyone with the Pittsburgh Steelers please exert some influence?
