How to Lose $55 Million (And Fans in the Process)

The Dragonball Z:Evolution movie came up in the office today.
What a colossal failure! It's reported that the budget for the movie was a robust $110 million while it only pulled in $45 million in it's short stint at the local Cineplex.
Only about $9 million was domestic, so it's pretty safe to say we did not like it over here.
The first mistake was making it a live-action movie. That's just blasphemous. It would be like turning the Simpsons into a live action flick (with Tom Arnold in the lead and Dakota Fanning as Lisa.)
It should be interesting to see if the producers give it another shot or just retire the whole Dragonball Z as a movie idea.
